Frequently asked questions
about coaching
1. What is coaching?
Coaching is a co-creation process where I support and empower you to achieve your personal and professional goals. It focuses on unlocking your potential within and creating actionable steps tailored to your needs.
2. How do I know if you are the right coach for me?
I offer a free 1-hr session which serves as a 'vibe check'. You can also take the chance to ask any questions you may wish, and we can do a coaching session within this hour so you can get a good sense if the chemistry is right.
3. What does a coaching session look like?
No two sessions are alike, as I tailor every session to the individual's needs. For each session, we work together to set goals and intentions, and craft personalised strategies for your unique journey. Each session typically lasts for 60 minutes.
4. What type of coaching do you offer?
I offer one-on-one coaching in the areas of business coaching & consulting, health & wellbeing, ageing well, and general life coaching.
5. How long does a coaching programme last?
Coaching programmes vary but usually run from 4 to 8 weeks, with weekly sessions. Each week may also involve assignments or reflections between sessions to help you get the most out of each session.
6. How is coaching different from therapy or mentoring?
Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented, designed to help you achieve specific outcomes. Therapy addresses past experiences, traumas and mental health needs, while mentoring often involves technical advice based upon the mentor's experience.
7. What can I expect to achieve?
You can expect increased clarity, confidence, actionable strategies and measurable progress towards your goals, whether in your personal or professional life.
8. Is coaching confidential?
Yes, all coaching conversations are strictly confidential to provide a safe space for self-discovery and growth. I abide by the International Coach Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice in all coaching relationships.
